Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) West Africa Regional Conference Lagos, 2018

This was supported by The Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), the enterprise unit of the Pan-Atlantic University hosted the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) West Africa Regional Conference Lagos, 2018 on Tuesday, 24th and Wednesday 25th of July, 2018.

Launched in September 2012, the ANDE West Africa Chapter envisages a thriving ecosystem for Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) in the region. The goal for the Chapter is to create a platform that supports all stakeholders in the SGB ecosystem through training, knowledge dissemination, and collaborative events.

At the conference, panel discussions were centered around the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem; How intermediaries can support succession planning for SGBs; Gender focus on creating financial, social and technical impact; Regulatory challenges and policies; Youth and Digital Economy; Role of Institutions in Talent Management; Best Practices for Fund raising amongst other topics. Other side event include; Speed Networking, Dinner and Report Launch of the GALI-Oxfam Incubators and accelerators.

Partner representatives from other regional chapters (International) were in attendance. Other organizations such as AMSCO, Standford SEED, Acumen, Grofin, Alitheia Capital, LSETF,GALI, OXFAM and various leading PEs and VCs were also present for the two days.
