The book is divided into three parts. Part I considers why management education matters to social and economic development of emerging and frontier markets.Part II focuses on a number of innovative developing country management schools, the challenges they are struggling with and their impact on the lives of graduates. Part III looks at the lessons learned from these stories and sketches out effective. options for moving forward to address the challenges of expanding managementeducation for developing countries.
ACCESS to finance continues to be a never ending challenge for MSMEs and emerging corporates. Despite the availability of funds on one hand and plethora of interventions on the other hand, MSMEs and emerging corporates are finding it difficult to access majority of these funds. This research which aims at understanding why and what could be done to increase access is therefore apt.
I am delighted to present this mapping report on Nigeria’s Green Economy Ecosystem, a partnership between Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University (EDC) and Nigeria Climate Innovation Centre (NCIC). This report ‘Green Economy Ecosystem Mapping: Renewable Energy in Nigeria’ is the first in the series of the ecosystem mapping. Other areas include Smart Agriculture, Water Solutions and Waste Management.
The Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise sector in Nigeria has been described as the growth engine of the economy contributing to national development, employment generation, export promotion, wealth creation amongst others. The World Bank, notes that MSMEs constitutes about 90% of businesses, contributing more than 50% of employment the world over and about 40% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in especially emerging economies.
The circular economy model, which champions the reduction, reuse, and recycling of resources, has emerged as a beacon of hope in our pursuit of a more sustainable future. However, achieving its full potential necessitates a collective effort, and SMEs stand at the forefront of this transformative journey. This article underscores the relevance and necessity of collaboration among SMEs as they implement the circular economy model, not only for their own growth but also for the greater good.
