EDC started its operation in 2003 in an incubation space provided by the University. Within a decade, EDC’s model was replicated in 5 different African countries, its alumni base increased significantly, collaboration with foreign and local development agencies and other enterprise development centers also grew enabling it to take up several nationwide assignments in the last seven (7) years.

As a result of this, the initial capacity became too constrained both in physical space and in reflecting the efficiency of our work capacity. With the development of the new EDC Green Building, we were able to expand our capacity to develop more entrepreneurs and efficiently integrate our processes. It has also provided us with the platform to keep us at the cutting edge of enterprise development.
